Maintenance Tips -

Chamaedorea elegans (Parlour palm) : If you are looking for a graceful, green, easy to maintain indoor plant - your search ends here. Being a hardy palm, this plant is slow growing and survives in low light is ideal for the living rooms or bed rooms.

Light : Medium amount but consistent light is needed, but you must always avoid direct sun. North or east facing balconies/ windows should bring about the magic.

Watering : Water only when the soil starts to dry out.

Humidity : Loves occasional misting.

Feeding : A weak all purpose feed once every 2 weeks is necessary for glossy and bright leaves.

Re-potting : May be essential only once in couple of years.

Propagation : The easiest way is to divide. In plants that are well cared for, division is easy.

Speed of Growth : Slow. Reaches a  max height of about 4'-0 to 5'-0.

Air-purifying: This plant cleans the indoor air of toxins like benzene, and other chemicals that are present  in aerosol sprays.

Tips: These plants do not like too much sunlight or too much water. Protect from both.

------------------------

Succulent Terrarium (Open Terrarium) : A succulent terrarium has succulents planted aesthetically inside a glass bowl. This helps in low maintenance and easy protected growth.

Size : 7.5" tall; 3" wide

Watering : Succulents live in arid environments and need very little water, especially when grown in a terrarium. You can spray them with a light mist every week, or water them every other week with a tiny bit of water by dripping water near the roots. It is much better to underwater than overwater these plants, as overwatering can lead to rot, which will kill the plants. If the plants are not getting enough water, their leaves may start to shrivel and droop a bit, but they recover quickly once you water them.

Light : Succulents like plenty of indirect light. They do well placed near a window that gets only indirect light for most of the day. Too much direct sunlight will burn the plants as the terrarium can get very warm.

Maintenance : Succulents require little maintenance. To discourage rot, it is best to remove fallen leaves from the terrarium. It is also good to allow the terrarium to receive fresh air from an open window when the weather allows.
