Mother-in-law's Tongue (Sansevieria) : Sansevieria is a very low-maintenance houseplant that is primarily grown for its resplendent leaves. This is also said to be purifier plant and has been planted in an Indian brown ceramic pot to cleanse your table top environment!
Light : They thrive in just about any kind of light, but brighter the light, the greener are its leaves.
Soil : A good mix of regular loamy sandy soil. It should be well drained.
Watering : Likes the soil to dry up a bit between watering. Always test the soil for moisture before watering. Once in 3 days is ideal for all round the year except summers.
Feeding : A general NPK feed once every 2 weeks is needed to be luscious and green
Re-potting : Repot then when it fills the pot and the plant kind of overflows, preferably during spring.
Propagation : Moderately easy to propagate via stem cuttings in sand.
Speed of Growth : Moderately fast. Small plants can fill the pots in a matter of a year.
